Solidarity!  It is nice to remember that there are other people out there going through the same horrible waiting process.  I wish you both the best of everything.

Hey, remember a couple of months ago when I wanted to apply for a job as an editorial assistant with an Austin-based “erotic romance” publisher, but the timing was off?

Well, they’re hiring again. And I only have a week left of my internship.

I already sent them my resumé and cover letter.  My cover letter may have included the line, “While I have never specifically edited erotica before, I enjoy reading a broad range of genres and I am comfortable working with any kind of subject matter.” 

I’m keeping my fingers crossed and my bodice ripped.

Portland is very much on my mind today.  After various Texas-Israel Skype chats, it looks like I might come for a visit in late January under the guise of helping my sister move.

Also, through strange housing convergences, I might have the opportunity to house-sit for two months in Portland this summer.

That… may be a thing I decide to do.  Austin is at its worst during the summer, while Portland is at its green best.
